JOINING OUR TEAM

Welcome to Bays Edge Aquatic Team (B.E.A.T.); we are happy to have you joining our swim team.  We are a non-profit organization, governed by a club-elected Board of Directors, and we are located at the Corpus Christi Natatorium.  BEAT takes pride in being a part of the Club Excellence Program.

Our major fund-raising activity is hosting 2-3 swim meets a year, which help insure our financial stability.  Our ability to provide a quality meet and attract as many teams as possible, depends on volunteer support from our swimmers, their parents and friends.  BEAT also has several other, non-swim related, fundraisers during the course of the year.

Our coaching staff and parent board have worked hard to develop a program that we feel will be able to meet the needs of all our swimmers.  Please visit the other pages on our website for more information.  There you will find information about BEAT, practice times, fee structure, upcoming meets and other swimming links. 

Below you will find a copy of all the forms necessary to register with BEAT, South Texas Swimming, and/or USA Swimming. 

Masters Swimmers (19 yrs and Older):

1) Please fill out the "Master’s Registration" form completely, sign it and return it to your coach

2)  Monthly dues will be billed to the e-mail address provided on the registration form.

3) Master’s Swimmers are responsible for their own registration with either USMS (http://www.usms.org/reg/) or USA Triathlon (http://www.usatriathlon.org/).

Non-Masters Swimmers:

1) Please fill out the 2010 USA Registration form and BEAT Registration form completely, sign them and return them

2) You must include a copy of the swimmer’s birth certificate with your registration form. 

3) The registration fee is $67.00, made payable to BEAT, and due at the time of registration. 

4) Monthly dues and pool fees will be billed to the e-mail address provided on the registration form. 

Pelase Note:  Pool Fees are charged twice a year, (September & March), at the rate of $75.00. Fees are prorated, based on registration date.  All of our pool facilities charge a base rate for each of our swimmers and this money is used to cover that fee.  

After an initial assessment, by your coach, the swimmer will be placed in the appropriate swimming category and billed accordingly.  The fees are as follows:

Monthly Dues:

If an additional swimmer, in the same family, is in different age/category bracket, they will be charged the regular category rate of their age bracket.  Placement into the different teams, are subject to change, based on the swimmers ability and the coach’s assessment.  Notification will be given 30 days prior to a category change.

Because BEAT is a non-profit organization, monthly dues, and charges to your account, are payable upon receipt of your monthly bill.  Billing will be processed through the website and reminders will be sent via e-mail.  If your swimmer becomes “Inactive”; 30 days notice is required to inactivate your account.  Notice must be give to the e-mail address on your monthly statement.  Please be aware that BEAT does assess late penalties for accounts 30, 60 and 90 days past due, for the balance on the account, unless prior arrangements have been made.
